Carson City is the capital city of Nevada. In its center, the 19th-century Nevada State Capitol Building features a grand silver cupola. Housed in the former Carson City Mint, the Nevada State Museum features
an underground mine, a mammoth skeleton and an 1800s coin press. Nearby, the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada offers science and art activities. The Nevada State Railroad Museum displays vintage trains.
